Glory was born in England on 19th September 1950 and travelled to Australia arriving in 1965.

Having settled life in Sydney, where Glory set about making her family and friendships, but knew she was missing something.

Her family, was always the centre of her universe. She spent a lifetime finding her identity and in 1997 she found what she had been looking for the final piece to her puzzle. She had found her long lost sister over 9000 miles away in England. 2 black sisters, Christine Russell and Gloria Akambi, 3 black brothers Barry Mitchell, Denis Mitchell and Gary Woodcock and her step father, George Tunde Akambi.

Glory was always a woman on a mission for good and never sat on the fence with her opinions.
